Five ideas for fresh brand content on social media
20 May 2026

For small brands, social media can feel like a machine that always needs feeding. The secret is not to post more, but to post with more intention. Here are five ideas I often suggest to the brands I work with.
1. Show the hands behind the product
People connect with people. A few photos of how your product is made, packed or chosen show the care that goes into it, and make your brand feel human.
2. Build a small library of lifestyle images
One well planned shoot can give you weeks of content. Photograph your products in real settings, used and enjoyed, so you always have something beautiful ready to share.
A strong visual identity is simply the same feeling, repeated with care.
3. Keep a consistent colour story
Choose a small palette and stick to it across your photos, stories and graphics. Over time, people recognise your posts before they even read your name.
4. Mix photos with short videos
Short clips, even a few seconds long, bring movement to your feed. A pour of coffee, a box being opened, a product catching the light. Simple and very effective.
5. Share your story, not just your offer
Why did you start? What do you care about? A few honest words next to a beautiful image will always do more than another sales post 🌿
